As a kid, Smith drew cartoons, sang in Oliver! and was an extra in Sharky's Machine. Inspired by "Golden Age" entertainment, he imitated voices, amassed recordings and rummaged through his father's LPs to find Stan Freberg, Nichols & May and Bob & Ray.
During a stint in college radio, he somehow managed to obtain an English degree. He has also performed on stage, camera, as well as studied speech and religion. After years of working in broadcast and print, Smith now performs and markets his work, taking acting and voice classes when possible.
ASH ensures all voice tracks are of the highest quality by recording from a state-of-the-art home studio and at nearby professional studios. At home, he uses large-diaphragm SP condenser mics, phantom powered by a tube preamp/mixer into an M-AUDIO interface with a 64-bit system. Turnaround times are quick. VOs are delivered in your format of choice (AIFF, WAV, MP3) via e-mail, FTP or ISDN.
